Can NRI's be called Indians?

They have adopted other countries, then why should we call them Indians?

    if any indian is residing in another country but he/she still keeps his indian passport rather then exchanging it with a passport of the country where he/she is now living in N it helps them that whenever they want to visit india they don't have to apply for indian visa , which if they'd have exchanged their passports , they wud have have to , therefore they r called NRI- Non Resident Indians , hence they re still called indians.

    Yes, they are INDIANS, but they are not residents of India!

    That's why, they are called Non-Residential Indians[NRI's]

    In a nutshell, we call them Indians, even every time we call them NRI's, we are calling them Indian, it's as simple as that!
