since we have already seen Rey without his mask why is this such a big deal?

Update:

Sorry I should have added Iknow the history of Luchador Masks but he has been unmasked already so they are just rerunning the same story line and the unmasking is because you can't see the Luchadore is a real person that has been done.

Its important to the Mexican Wrestlers.

When Rey first started wrestling, his father gave him the mask he wears today..

Its just important and to be unmasked is a bad thing..

Also, most of the younger fans are fans of Rey, and they don't want to see Rey unmasked.

because as we know wwe is target toward kids right now and most of them dont know he was ever unmasked so kids are scared that their hero could loose his mask so thats why but it could be intresting having a new gimmick without his mask

Without the mask he is nothing. La mascara represents history, family, tradition, la raza, blah blah blah trust me its really important to Mexican wrestlers.

the only reason he wears a mask is so the cops can't recognize him to deport him as an illegal immigrant
