I honestly think yes they would be in danger. Some whack-a-mole fundie would take it as an affront to God and murder the scientist.

I would assume whoever did it would first make sure they always had some on them so they could never die, so no, there would be no trouble from religious nuts.
However, creating life from nature has already happened, it's called procreation. No chemicals are used in making children, people, except for what comes from us, NATURALLY.
If the person who found it was smart, they would destroy the information, creating life is a dnagerous thing to do especially in the wrong hands.

Well, first I think you should see a scientist who works along with what you discovered, like a biologist. I see no reason you should fear religious people, not if you have proff. So to defend yourself; write out the "recipe" say-and share it with others. If it is yet unidentified and three to five other people can make it. That would verify that your information is true. This will have an impact on religions regardless, much more so if it presents intelligence. Overall, religions will attempt to disprove you, but harming you after the information is released will only hinder their appearance to the public.

How would destroying it be for the greater good? Keeping people ignorant is hardly good, imo.
I don't think they'd be in danger. The religious won't be swayed by this "science" nonsense. What has it ever given us? . . .
They'd find some way to attack it. Even if it was OBVIOUSLY correct and obviously worked and had loads of evidence . . . much like evolution.

On par with abortion clinics I expect. I would be fascinated to see such a thing.
I would release it on a mass scale so it is not squashed like some technologies have been.

Totally, most religious people of low achievement will seek to eliminate this person to protect themselves, their status and their beliefs.
Keep it for the right person, in your own head.

Technically, they can never create life from nothing. From scratch is not life from nothing even if they could do it.
