I, too, think that "freedom of speech" has been distorted.
People say horrible things, and then scream "freedom of speech, its my RIGHT!"....
It's irritating. I think we should have the constitutional right to staple ignorant peoples mouth shut.

What Peter H. Gilmore so accurately referred to as “pervasive pantywaistism”, i.e., the generation that overthrew the system in the 60s-70s is the new system. They've engineered a society of pantywaists that relies on them for protection against disagreeable or offensive statements, true or not, particularly those that go against the grain of the current politically correct/egalitarian status quo.
Lawyers are just sharks that exploit any situation for financial gain or careerism.

the original meaning of freedom of speech has been so grossly distorted. people seem to think it means they can say absolutely anything they want AND that someone has to listen to them.
