Please help internet connection problem?
Please help. I am not terribly good with computers, like cars I can only drive them when they are working and don’t understand them much, just put in petrol, oil and water.
I have a 3 USB Modem pay as you go and have plenty of time left, I do not have a telephone here to plug in a wire. Over the last 3 or 4 days I have been having problems whereby I keep losing the internet connection, it happens every 4-8 mins, sometimes I get a half an hour. The 3 connection information window shows that I am connected and the time is ticking away although I am not on the internet. The signal shows from 1 to 4 bars, it used to show all bars and that I was on HSDPA now I am on 3G. I am in my caravan right on the coast and normally have no problems at all. I keep getting Network Timeout too, or Address not found. Please if anyone knows what I should do I would be very grateful. I am typing this in word and will transfer it as mostly I lose the connection before I have typed much. Many thanks in anticipation.

I'm sure someone will come up with a better answer in time, but it sounds like you have a basic signal problem. The fluctuation in bars and the 'time out' errors indicate that you have an unreliable signal, especially since you say you still have plenty of minutes left on your subsription. Unfortunately you may just have to go through the awful customer services if it is a subscription issue, however you can try this:
I understand your connection is dodgy, but try going on the online help section of your provider who may be able to give you some information to change such as DNS settings (these are just codes that idendify your connection). There is the off chance that your usb modem is just faulty so that should be taken into consideration.
I hope that helps just a tiny bit; I know how annoying it is when things like this happen but it's difficult to give any substantial help without being there.
