Lord shiva..i m not well aware of what god did in other epics but it would be very difficult to beat shiva when you know his life style and things he did..i m listing a few

1. great affection towards cannabis

2. Had some very complicated life..(Relationshipwise )..i found many sexually confused readers are really digging into this stuff..

3. He was the master of arts includes dancing, singing etc..you might have a nataraja vigraha at ur home.

4. One of the simplest yet complex life

5. Mater of yoga, meditation etc..

6. Destroyer of the world

7. Possess the most powerful weapon

8. kind anf generous and yet could become most dangerous.

Actually he wasn't a God to begin with but followers made him so.I think Buddha shall be coolest of them all.

How about Ymir the Frost Giant - how much cooler can you get than freezing... His body became the Earth and the abodes of the gods in Norse myth.

Aphrodite would be the coolest god / goddess ever invented...

But I would pick God if your question wasn't limited...

Brahman because he is limitless and indefinable and can be seen as a cosmic force/ energy to the atheists and a Father figure to the theists. He is also the oldest of the "living Gods" while Thor and Zeus cool as they may have been were still fazed out and could not stand the test of time and relevance.

I like Anubis, Thor, Odin, Athene and Cthulhu.

My personal favorite is Athena, but I don't know for coolest...

My God probably is the coolest but of the ones invented, may be Thor.
