Checking file system on C: The type of the file system is NTFS. The volume is dirty. What does this mean?
Hi, guys. I got this message the other day and I have no idea what it means or what I am to do about it. Any suggestions? I really would appreciate any help I can get.

Without going into too much detail, its basically a form of maintenance your computer determined it needed to do. Just let it do its check and it'll be fine.

Open Command Prompt and type chkdsk C:\ /F /V /R /B
