My passport was handed in to the Garda station in Dublin 5 weeks ago, they can't find it what can i do?

They rang my mother 5 weeks ago and said they had my passport i went down to retrieve it they said that it wasn't where it's normally left, but that the guard might have it in her locker so that it isn't given out to the wrong person, i have since went down 4 times on the 4th time i went down my name and phone number was left there and i received a voice mail message the following day, the guard left her first name said my passport was down there and had been for 3 weeks. I was speaking to that guard today and she denys ever making the phone call, the voicemail on my phone has been deleted, i supposed to be going on holidays in 3 days, if there was anyway i could get the voice mail this issue would be resolved i would be willing to pay money if i had to.
