i.e. 200 degrees F on the stove

It's an expression and nothing more. Thus, there isn't a specific temperature in which you start using it. Just when you're really hot. Same for "I'm freezing my [insert name of body part of choice] off."

It depends on how you cook it. If you cooking it in water or just from dry heat it depends!
