1978 t-top camaro ..under construction?

i just got this camaro for 200.00! it has t-tops and a real good body,2 inch cowl hood,that's the good,the bad: the car is empty,nothing not even the gas or brake pedal,no gas tank,no dash and no seats,now the ugly: mo'money,mo'money and mo'money. the car was a standard,when i put in the center consel and pedals for the automatic will i have trouble? have much tell me the good,bad and ugly if i installed a 305 engine and tranny combo from a iroc-z? please don't ask about a 350 that's not what i want,your help is appreciated.

    I think the shifter location on the automatics was different than the manual cars. the pedals should work, but you might have to patch a hole in the firewall where the old stuff bolted in. the iroc engine and tranny should bolt in in place of the old engine, assuming it was a v8. if it is fuel injected, you'll either have to convert it to a carb or take the computer with it.

    The parts needed can be found fairly easily at local swap meets and possibly a junkyard. gas tank can be bought new from about any camaro parts source, along with any other part you might need. Check with year one, national parts depot, and legendary auto interior.

    these can be nice cars if done right, take your time and don't cut any corners you don't have to

    It sounds like it has been passed down as a parts car for a while. I would try to find a different Camaro and use the one you have now as a parts car also.
