Are cars with automatic transmission easier to use and drive than cars with manual transmission?
Are they both more or less the same?

automatics are supposed to be easier to drive, I'd argue they are different to drive, not better, not worse.
I wouldn't want an automatic, I don't like the compromises automatics impose on driving. the tight wad in me doesn't like paying the extra in fuel consumption autos impose they are one more thing that can go wrong.
I don't understand why automatics woudl be any benefit on long distance high speed trips. I can understand why some may prefer auto's if they are doing a lot of stop starting. however fdriving in urban traffic is all about smoothness, and persoanlly I'd reckon that driven well there is precious little difference between an auto and manual in urban traffic.
if you drive an auto car then you will need a bigger car as precious few small cars can take auto gear boxes. that measn you will not be able to get cheap runabouts
if you are UK based and are about to start driving lessons, then I'd strongly recommend that you take you test in a mnaul car, then you can drive both, if you take it in an auto car then you are limited to auto cars.

That depends. I live and work in a country where hills are very common. Even though I am also living and working in a rural area, the country where I am is so overpopulated that the traffic flow is more densed than in Australia or North America, especially when you go into a small town. If you live in North America on flat lands, Australia, or South Africa, driving manual is better (but not inthe big cities). If you are in South Korea, drive automatic.

Depends what you want - for long distances and town driving all day long, an automatic is an absolute boon - but they can be slow to respond, heavier on fuel .....
Personally I prefer a manual gear box. Its down to choice to a point.

Autos are extremely easy to drive as the car takes away your need for gear changing, around town and in heavy traffic there is no need for holding clutches in etc.
The only slight downside is that they are a bit slower on acceleration and you can't bump start them if you get a flat battery.
Go for it, you won't regret it.

Yes, the automatic transmission doesn't have a clutch pedal.

Both equal, just depends on what kind you learn.
Although some women find the fact of pushing one pedal AND moving a stick a bit difficult!
