In Luke, why didn't the 5 girls left with oil in their lamps share their oil?

They kept their oil so that they would not run out of it when the bridegroom arrived. The foolish virgins were not prepared and so lost out. If the foolish knew of the bridegroom's coming, they should have been prepared instead of waiting till the last minute.

No where does it say in the bible that you have to share with someone when you may run out yourself. That is the moral of the parable. They were foolish, the remaining virgins were not. I give, but I never give if I know I will be hurt by giving in the end. That is only foolish. The foolish woman tore down her own house.

You don't get it do you?

There would not be enough oil to do the job, so if you share yours with someone both lamps will go out too soon.

Now, to give ALL your oil to someone who had none - that would a Christ-like act.

It is a 'metaphoric' example of self responsibility. (once over the age of 20.

May I ask you one ?

Why don't some 'Mediums' tell Brady Kieth is waiting for him 'up there'

and I don't think he will be too pleased at the heart-break he is still causing his mother. A real example for a real 'hell'.
