whats up with my internet explorer?

unless i type in a proper address like www.google.com internet explorer says it's an invalid address or cannot find page but it works fine in mozilla firefox

    go to tools>internet options>advanced> restore default setting hopefully that will fix it up

    Your Internet Explorer make affected by virus or spyware.

    try to restore the day on which your ie has worked good using system restore in XP.

    or try for some spyware softwares.

    You should try Google Chrome as a browser.

    It's really easy and fast and the address bar doubles up as a search bar which is very handy.
