Aren't New Unemployment figures Pure B--- S--T?

The 9.6 figures just released are only the people currently on Unemployment. The Feds need to contact everyone who was on UI last year and see how many are still out of work - that is the almost true figure since there are still a large group that did not get approved for UI - it must be over 20% judging by the people needing work on Yahoo Answers.

Update:

Thanks Murzy - that was the entire point of my question!
