Definitely nice slacks and a dress shirt...maybe a tie?

Slacks and a nice shirt, not sure if a tie is needed (I did).

But perhaps more important is to ensure he washes the crib notes off of his hands. Trust me on that one - I learned the hard way.

it is always better to overdress than underdress as you always are the best looking one in the house. so, a suit and get a bright colored tie. they are in for this year. In times of a recession ties get brighter and wider. You can take that to the stock market.

Dress pants, shirt and tie. I wore a skirt and sweater for mine, but that prolly would go over well for your son. The guys wore shirts and ties.

A suit and tie. You should want him to be the best looking one in the group.

Mine was during school, so I just wore my uniform. :)

I'd just go for something that's not too casual but not too formal - a button-down shirt or something and slacks would be fine.

I was in NJHS and i would say that nice pants (no jeans) and a button down shirt should be fine. he also shouldn't wear sneakers if that is possible.
