I think the main problem with wearing crash-helmets in banks is that you can headbutt people with hardly feeling any pain.
Doubt you'll be able to do that with a Burka!

Wearing a burka is most certainly NOT a compulsory condition of the Muslim religion. The Koran makes absolutely no mention of this loathsome garment. For all I know it's just a ploy to save us, the indigenous British, from observing an amazingly ugly alleged female face! The crash helmet bit is, as we all know, an attempt to stop potential bank robbers using them as a disguise. However, there are recorded incidents where male Muslim criminals have used the burka as a disguise when committing offences or escaping capture. Illegals have also used this ploy. Burkas should be banned and if this is seen as discriminatory - then tough! It's our country!!!!!

I agree with you. The burka should be banned. I remember there was a case in the UK where some men wearing burkas robbed a shop proving that the burka is a security risk. I think that people should be able to observe their religious beliefs, but not if it violates existing laws which, in the case of the burka, i believe it does because, as you said, there are certain places where it is illegal not to show your face (i.e. banks, airports) yet women wearing the burka can. Remember the burka is not essential to Islam anyway. Women only need to wear the Hijab (the head scarf thing.)

I think it is common sense not to wear a crash helmet or a burka in a bank. A man brandishing a gun wearing a burka could come in posing as a women and no one would be the wiser. For goodness sake, why are we even discussing this?

According to the modern "British" mindset, you are not a Muslim so you do not deserve to be treated like a Muslim. We should hand our country over to Muslims now make the Bank of England into an Islamic bank.
The 3 million "UK" Muslim "community" was the biggest mistake ever in British history and all made by expense cheating politicians without a singe word of agreement with the real British

what you fail to comprehend is so a great way as i comprehend interior the historic previous of banks being robbed interior the united kingdom no-one has ever robbed a economic business enterprise interior the united kingdom wearing a Burkah on the different hand banks have been robbed interior the united kingdom via women and men human beings wearing a balaclava so your argument is particularly ineffective particular it may happen in spite of if as in spite of if it has now no longer so why worry approximately it

I was wearing a crash helmet and a balaklava and no one said anything to me.. The cashier even handed me a plastic bag full of money.

You're right about this. If I can't wear face covering leotards or ski masks into a bank then burqas aren't allowed either. Never thought of it that way

I think I understand what you are trying to say, and you have a very good point. It has to be one law for all in this country, and if we have to show our faces in the bank then so should our ethnic minority friends. Religion is not an excuse.

Why would you want to wear your helmet in the bank? Surely that is asking for trouble.
