No "J" that is not true. Check out this site and read your Constitution Article II Section I Clause V here is the question that should have been ask of Gibbs
During the election, then Senator Obama published a statement at his website which said that his birth status was “governed” by the British Nationality Act of 1948. Can you please tell the American people how a natural born citizen of the United States can be governed – at birth – by British law?
Source(s): http://naturalborncitizen.wordpress.com/ if you want to see about McCain and SR 511 and a lot more about the COLB issue you should really read this attorneys blog it will enlighten you as it did me. piece of info from blog McCain is NBC only because of SR 511 - i_was_myselfLv 71 decade ago
If both of your parents are americans and you are born on a military base on USA property in a foreign country then you are not a natural born citizen, but rather a naturalized citizen. The only difference is you can't run for president.
So simply having a parent being an american doesn't make you american. You have to be born in one of the states. They are trying to prove otherwise.
Strange because nobody believes that McCain was born on US soil, yet they were willing to overlook the issue.
