To business owners/operators : about advertising?
I am planning on starting a flier delivery business advertising for local stores by delivering their advertisements door to door. I was planning on delivering them in 'bundles' of maybe 5 or so fliers, and charging 10 cents per flier per business. I just was wanting some opinions from business owners...
1. Is it wierd that the fliers would be delivered in bundles? Would you feel like you aren't getting as much for your money if yours wasn't the only ad delivered?
2. Is 10 cents too much? That is 1000 fliers delivered directly to the customer's doorstep for $100. I am trying to find a price that will be profitable and worth my time (I am going to have to deliver these fliers in the 120 degree Arizona heat) while trying to keep it at a reasonable cost for the businesses too.
Any suggestions or comments? Different prices?
Do you think the bundles of fliers should be in like rubber banded groups or handled plastic bags? I was planning on using bags.

Hi Kaleidoscope eyes,
This sounds like a great idea for the right town. How do you know businesses in your town need this service? Did you ask a sampling of businesses if they need this?
Think about your proposal. How much will it cost to print each flyer? You must make at least a penny on each flyer, including delivery costs, to make a profit. But, is a penny a flyer enough for you?
What part of Arizona are you in? Phoenix? Tucson? Surprise? Flagstaff? Prescott? Your location and the number of businesses will also have an impact on your idea.
Ask first what the businesses need in your town. Then, offer THAT service. You will save a lot of time and money finding your market first, then create your product or service.

in case you get a organisation license you're criminal and can write any expenses for the organisation off your taxes. Doing it under the table...you're unlawful, could be fined if caught, and can't write any expenses off your taxes. Plus in case you get a organisation license and do a dba, you may open a checking account on your organisation call and deposit your earnings...preserving them become self sufficient from the different earnings or reductions you have got. organisation licenses do no longer value that lots. the place I stay that is basically $50 a year, whether once you first get it they might require you pay for 2 years to start. yet you besides mght might desire to do a dba which includes working an advert in a community paper weekly for 5 weeks or so (I ignore the real timeframe).
