Is it possible to connect your tv to your dvd or any other device through a wireless connection?

I'm trying to work out something...

So you would usually have the red/white/yellow cables connected from tv to dvd player, but would it be possible to connect some device to the back of the tv and to the back of the dvd player and that's the way the picture n sounds are transmitted instead of wires?!?

If so, how? Or do u know any site that might help me out?

Right now, wireless sound is just starting to be finally be affordable in the stereo sense. But in your case, this would end up being DVD to stereo to wireless speakers - which is do-able for about $400 right now. However, wireless video signal from DVD to TV is only at the peak of technology right now because the transmission of data wirelessly can only handle a limited flow of bits per second. Transmission of that much data to provide a 30 fps video on at least a 480 resolution movie (not to mention the 720/1080 of HD these days) wirelessly is a real stretch. Those transmission rates do exist these days, but for outrageous costs. Right now (and probably for at least the next 4 years), just run an HDMI cable through your walls to make them as invisible as possible.

At least the sound you can go wireless! Check out Sony DVD Home Theater sets.

Yes, you can get wireless A/V senders, but the affordable ones do SD analog video and stereo audio only.

Component and HDMI senders and receivers for HD are very expensive.
