When Obama campaigned, he touted creating 4 million new jobs. Since in office a few mil have lost their jobs.?

Perhaps he meant 4 mil new czars, or 4 mil new bureaucrats. Just wondering?

It seems like that is what he is doing. So far the stimulus hasn't done what he has promised it would. Is it too early to know for sure? Well that is what he and the Democrats say.

I guess we will just have to wait and see. But, all this other spending he is trying to get passed doesn't really make what he is doing really good for the citizens of America.

The Republicans can't do anything except be negative about his agenda, not coming up with a plan of their own.

It is time for the citizens of America to stand up and say 'no more'. The people in Washington are suppose to be working for us, not the other way around.

And what Obama will be saying for the next 4 years is, "No, I said million created or SAVED." So really Obama's only promise was that, at the end of his term, at least 4 million people will still be employed. What a grand vision!

It took Reagan something like 18 months to start showing job increases. Do you think Obama is some kind of super politician that can do things overnight? Give his policies some time. Jobs are a lagging indicator. Look to indicators like durable goods orders, the consumer confidence index, etc. As those improve, jobs will improve, but only after a couple months. Already, indications are the the recession has peaked. New Jobless claims have been decreasing steadily for the past four months, and the housing sector has shown improvements.

Well if you ever took an economics course you would understand it takes about 2 yrs for economic policies to have an effect on an economy. We are dealing with the effects of the Bush economy right now. Thank the republicans for ruining our economy.

How many years did it take for Republicans to screw up the job market? How many months are you expecting Obama to fix it?

When president Obama took office this country had already lost 2 millions jobs .It took the GOP and Bush 8 years to tank this country economy and it will definitely take Obama more than 6 months to turn their incompetent mess around.
