Top right click [My Profile], then edit my info. dot the circle that says create/use my avatar it will take you to the page to make one, when you are done click save changes, reverse back to your profile, click use my avatar, then click Preview, then OK . It should show up*

To create/change a Yahoo cartoon avatar go here:

Then go to: http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit , click "use my yahoo avatar" -> scroll down -> click "preview" and then "ok".

For all other picture avatars:

http://profiles.yahoo.com/ - go here to create a profile -> click "change photo" -> click "add photo" -> select the picture you want from your harddrive -> click "save". Now click "use selected photo", done.

Note: the pic has to be a .jpg or .png file, it must be smaller than 5 MB, and it also has to be square.

it's really easy. you can search for avatars in the search box on the yahoo home page. then you will be able to customize yours and save it. you will also be able to save several for different seasons, sports, holidays, etc. hope this helps.

search "yahoo avatar" and sign in using your yahoo login and password.

then add anything to the face on the left and save it. then it's gonna show in your profile.
