1990s Cable movie or short movie about a blind date gone bad?

Anybody know of this? I can't find it ANYWHERE online. It's like it never even existed. What I recall is a fragmented memory of the movie(well, short movie, as it was around an hour long). It aired originally on Showtime(or HBO; well, one of those two) back in the early 90s. It was either filmed in the late 80s or early 90s given the fashion and music style seen/heard in the movie. It could've been part of an anthology-type show(each episode is a different short film, kinda like what the "After School Specials" were in the 70s and 80s). Here's what I remember:

The main guy is set up on a date with one of the hottest girls in school(it's supposed to be a blind date). The main guy borrows his father's car(either that, or his older brother's car; I only recall him being very particular about making sure it's clean so he doesn't get in trouble) and picks up the girl. But the girl(I wanna say she's blond, as I believe I recall) has other plans. He takes her to a concert. The music's kinda pre-hip hop/alternative styled EMF-type music. The blond girl ditches our main character amongst the concert crowd and winds up going with another guy. The main character(perhaps after the concert), winds up returning to his car in the parking lot and he finds a girl kicking it's fender. Of course, he knows if the car is in any messed up condition, it's his hide, so he stops her. This girl is kinda nerdy looking, brunette with shoulder length wavy/frizzle curls and big glasses. She tells him that she was angry because the guy she was on a date with ditched her, and that when she returned to where he parked, his car was gone(and interestingly, it was where the main character would park, hence she took her anger out on his car, instead). I recall a line about how champagne and tacos don't mix(as she was feeling a little sick). The main guy tries to comfort her, and allows her to sit in his car, but she gets sick and vomits all inside(or at least on the passenger's door). He gets angry and she leaves, but he soon cools down and goes after her. She's walking through the parking lot and he drives besides her and offers her a ride home. She agrees. I think she does a little burp, and he gets scared because he thinks she's going to start throwing up again, but she tells him it was just a burp and she's fine. Now, my memory kinda skips, but I think they wind up going to an apartment party somewhere. I remember a big swimming pool, and something happens where some bully-type character tosses both the main guy and the nerdy girl into the pool. After, the two sit together in the laundry room, waiting as their clothes dry, and they talk. It's there that the main character starts to realize that the nerdy girl is actually kinda cute without her glasses, and with her hair let down. The two kiss. After that, I don't remember much.

Anybody know what I'm talking about? I feel like I'm the only person who's ever seen this movie/short film. At the least, I'd like to know who were the actors and actresses in it, and what was the actual title of the film. Thank you!

This one was a special, with much of the same storyline as "Mystery Date":

    C.B.C.'s Magic Hour

    "The Prom" (1990)

starring Stacie Mistysyn, Sean Roberge, Jaimz Woolvett, (Nicole) Nikki de Boer, Kathleen Robertson, Jill Hennessy, Santino Buda

    Synopsis:

Shy Rebecca Pennington longs for excitement and romance in her life, and when she gets the lead role in her high school play she begins to think that those things just might be possible for her. She asks her cousin Tom to set her up with a "prince charming" from his school, but after her dream date is injured at basketball practice, she is greeted instead by Ralph, who initially seems to belong in the frog category. The night turns into one misadventure after another, leading Rebecca to believe that she is doomed to a life without love. But in the end, in true fairytale style, she realizes that princes come in all sorts of packages.

NOTE: It took awhile before I remembered Santino Buda's name. He's the reason I have a copy of this on one of my videotapes!

I thought of this first, but it's a feature film:

    Mystery Date (1991)

starring Ethan Hawke, Teri Polo, Brian McNamara, Fisher Stevens, B.D. Wong, Don S. Davis, James Hong, Victor Wong

    IMDB synopsis:

Shy teenager Tom McHugh worships his sexy neighbor Geena Matthews that lives on the other side of the street, but he does not dare to talk to her. When his parents travel with their dog for a competition and his self-confident big brother Craig McHugh unexpectedly arrives from California for a visit with a classic 1959 Cadillac, Graig decides to call Geena and schedule a date with Tom. He lends his clothes and his credit card to Tom, who cuts his hair like Craig, buy flowers while Tom calls a limousine service. However, the driver has an accident and Tom decides "to borrow" the fancy car to impress the girl. When Tom is mistakenly taken as being Craig and finds a body in the trunk, his dream-night with Geena becomes a nightmare.
