How Exactly Is John Morrison Soooo Great?

oooooooooh goody i get to bash morrison even though hes a good wrestler people are overrating based on one great match and a superkick.

first off morrison is good in ring, but he doesnt have that much room for improvement cuz he just entered his prime where he is at his peak of his performance, so he wont be getting any better if anything it will be worse cuz of the style he wrestles it will tear down his body more and he will have to slow down immensely. So morrison doesnt have a great of future as they think he has, the guy is going to be good and probably a hall of famer cuz its easy to get into wwe's hof now, but he wont be an icon he wont be a legend just a good superstar.

Now on the ending of the streak how bout hell no, morrison is past the point to where the rub he would get from it and the push wont be the best another younger star would have got from it. Also morrison isnt a great wrestler that deserves it imo at all. Guys like jericho and kane deserve it way more. The only good positive is that he would be a better choice then ted jr to end the streak. But he isnt right at all to end it much less deserves it

Now onto going into the main event, i think he will get pushed their out of smackdown needing someone, cuz edge is injured and jeff might be leaving and undertaker will still be out till summerslam more than likely.

I would like to see morrison get built up the right way but thats just not going to happen since on smackdown right now hes the best bet out of the young midcarders to push to main event. Thats why i chose him in that answer not because i want it, but that is what i predict. He really needs to work for it some more before he gets it. And should bring shelton back to smackdown and push him instead of morrison while edge is out and jeff is leaving, cuz he deserves it more.

Now on the next HBK comparisons that happened only because he superkicked hbk in the face and his superkick looks very similar to hbk, but that is really it, hes not as good in ring at all or on the mic. People need to stop comparing him to hbk cuz they are buliding him up to fail horribly cuz they will make him out to be big and in 5 years(maybe even before) when morrison is going to have to slow down that is when they will call him overrated cuz he didnt live up to the hype. Plus there are more impressive wrestlers then morrison in other promotions that are younger and better and have been for a longer time as well despite being younger, like chris sabin(only 27) alex shelley(only 24), and tyler black(23), who are way better and have shown to be better already for a few years now sabin since 2003, shelley since 2006 and tyler black since last year(same time as the morrison love) and they are all better imo than morrison and deserve way more praise but get nothing cuz they are not in wwe, though they have shown way more skill in ring than morrison, morrison gets all this uneeded love cuz hes in wwe, its really kinda sad.

bq: this is a tough one cuz throughout her career gail kim has shown to be better than micike as a wrestler, and her time in tna really showed that. The only thing is wwe isnt using gail kim the right way so she is less impressive then micike. So i have to agree and disagree with you.

Overall Gail kim is better throughout their respective careers, yet Mickie james is the better of the two currently in wwe, cuz wwe is using her better and in the right way.

2 - He's Above Average on the Mic

3 - He DOES have "The Look" (at least , Vince's Idea of it...)

4 - He doesn't Botch that much (unless Facing Charlie Haas...)

5 - His Gimmick is Good , and it Fits Him

6 - He has a "Main Eventer Name" (a Name that Fits a Main Eventer/Champion)

7 - He is Incredibly Athletic

8 - He gets a Good Pop (or Heat when He was a Heel)

9 - Other than 1 Violation , He's a Consummate Professional

10 - He is Simply Good at what He does

Better Question - Why don't more people Understand how Good Morrison actually is?

John Morrison is very talented I agree he should not be the one to end The Undertaker's streak, he still has a long way to go before he can be a main eventer. Also there is only one HBK so I do not see why people are sayinhg that Morrison is the next HBK.

I agree Gail Kim is better than Mickie James when it comes to in ring performance. Gail went up against Awesome Kong and lived to tell about it that takes guts and skill.

Well, you can count me among the huge John Morrison fans. I think that he's always been really good, but since his face turn and split from The Miz, he's really taken a big step.

Inside the ring, it's tough to argue that Morrison is pretty amazing. Just look at his finisher. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Starship Pain, but you can't deny that it's a move that takes an incredible amount of athletisicm and agility. It terms of pure athletisicm, I would rank John Morrison at the very top of the WWE, and yes, that includes Shelton Benjamin. Remeber the first RAW after Wrestlemania 25? In that Lumberjack match him and The Miz had against The Colons? He did this crazy inverted back flip onto a pile of guys outside the ring. It's hard not to appreciate talent like that.

But I also find Morrison to be about more than just big time spots or really cool high flying moves. He's actually really good technically as well. If you go back and watch some of his recent matches with Shelton Benjamin, you'll see what I mean. He has near-perfect timing in the ring, he rarely botches and all of his moves are just so tight and right on the money.

I think that if there's an area of Morrison's game that is going to hold him back it's his mic skills. He shows flashes of brilliance, but overall he isn't outstanding. Most of the time he seems to really struggle, whereas guys like Triple H, John Cena and Chris Jericho can all make their promos sound really natural and flow well.

However, I do think that Morrison is really improving on the mic. When he was a heel, I found him to be quite over the top when he spoke, but since he's gone face he's really improved. Some of the stuff he cut on Shelton Benjamin was great. Even when he was a heel, he showed encouraging signs. That running feud him and The Miz had with Cryme Tyme showed that. Remember that time on RAW when he was doing commentary with JTG and the two of them started going at it? They had Michael Cole laughing so hard that he couldn't call the match. That's what I'm talking about. I'd just like to see stuff like that from Morrison a bit more often.

Now, I don't agree with the Shawn Michaels compaisons that so many people seem to be making. Aside from a passing resemblance and I guess similar gimmicks, they aren't all that alike. Shawn Michaels is in a league by himself, and I think that it does Morrison a disservice to compare him to that.

Still though, I do think that Morrison is going to be a huge star. He's absolutley ripped (steroid helped, I know, but still...), I find him to be a terrific face, he's incredible in the ring and he's getting alot better on the mic. I just think that he's the complete package.

People say that Morrison is the next HBK because they have really similar styles. I think he will be the next to take a main event spot, too. He is really talented, and he seems to be in line for a big push. I think if given the chance, he could be a talented main eventer. I don't think, however, that he deserves to beat the Undertaker's streak.

Those people are stupid, Morrison shouldn't end Undertaker's streak. That's just stupid.. Batista deserves to end the streak more. And John Morrison is nowhere near being the next HBk. Dont get me wrong, I have no problem with him, like you said he's a good wrestler but he just hasn't done enough things to be considered a main eventer. Also, I agree with you when you said that he didn't look like a main eventer. He just doesn't. He would have to get a different gimmick in order to be a main eventer. He's still young and ahs a long future in WWe ahead of him. Maybe one day he'll have what it takes to be a main eventer, but not now. Not even close.

Wrestling wise, I agree. Gail Kim is a better high flyer but Mickie James has more charisma.

Don't hate on Morrison. Hes got talent, charisma, can do some amazing aerial maneuvers, and he has the potential to get even better so he could possibly be at the main event spot some day, I don't think any one should break Taker's streak but I think if someone like Morrison did, who has that potential to be a great star, it would help his career, but it shouldn't happen at this stage in his career.

Morrison isn't HBK and that is a good thing because he should develop his own style but I can see why people compare him to HBK, he is the closest thing that this generation of wrestlers has to a HBK and even JR has compared him to the Heart Break Kid on SD!.

BQ: Disagree, Mickie James is just as good as Gail Kim. Mickie has held the women's championship 4 times and has defeated such Divas as Trish Stratus, Lita, Melina, Beth Phoenix, and more. Mickie is one of the best in WWE today and one of the most exciting.

I have a lot of respect for Gail Kim, she is great in the ring and can do some amazing wrestling Maneuvers, her rivalry with Awesome Kong in TNA proves she is very tough. She is just as good as Mickie but she is not better.

Okay.. John Morrison.. Hmm..

To start things off, I gotta say that Morrison is indeed a very good wrestler.. I think sometimes his talent can get overrated, but overall he is great..

I have to argue the fact that he can't possibly break Undertaker's WrestleMania streak simply because he hasn't done much.. Yes, he was the Tag Team Champion as MNM, and he has been the Intercontinental Champion several times, I think, but that's really it.. That's nothing.. And he is not close enough to be considered a Legend obviously, so thinking he could break the streak is very ridiculous.. I think that if someone were to have the HONOR of breaking it, it would be someone like Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, or even Triple H, but not Morrison..

Now, before he gets to the main event spot, he needs to accomplish something before it.. I don't remember if I have said that John Morrison could be a good main-eventer or not, but he definitely needs to prove that he is capable of carrying a good feud with someone as a face.. He still has the cocky gimmick, and he already has a lot of fans, but to be a good liked face, he needs to interact more with the crowd and have more good promos..

I think the match he had with Edge on SmackDown! a few weeks ago was phenomenal.. You see, after the exchange of words between those two guys, I felt that he could carry a good feud with Edge if given the chance.. And even if lost, he looked real good.. For one Edge made him look good regardless of the lost, but also John Morrison was always determined in the match, and he had big quality of moves right there..

The way I see it, some people look up at him as such an amazing performer because if you have noticed [which of course you have], WWE [probably] has watered down Cena's moves, HHH's moves, Edge's moves, and even Orton's moves, BUT in the case of Morrison, he is young, athletic, and you can always see a big variety of moves that not many show; that is very impressive.. You don't see much talent these days because I guess Vince doesn't want them to show their full potential, but I think Morrison got even better than how he started..

I don't know if he can improve more than he already has, but what he needs to work on is his mic skills.. I think he is great with them, but sometimes I think he tries to talk way too fast that it sounds like he just rambles on and on..

And saying he is the next HBK, I find it funny.. No one is going to be the next __________.. Everyone has a special spot in wrestling, and they don't HAVE to be compared to another superior 'legend', say, because everyone makes his/her impact in a different way.. However, I can see some similarities between HBK and Morrison, like how they started as c*cky heels, they have the look that says "Ladies, I'm here", and their wide moveset that makes 'em seem better than everyone..

He has to EARN championship matches, and he needs to get the IC title at least one time before he can think of stepping in the World Title Picture.. He still has a long way too go, but I am afraid he will get slower as time passes by..

Anyway, he is greatness, and I am a fan of him, but if people keep overrating him by trying to make him look like a GOD, he will end up being another Randy Orton..
