Is my weight loss during pregnancy ok?
I'm 16 weeks pregnant. I am 5,8" and my starting weight was 12st 7- which is overweight. Due to not drinking and appitite loss in the first trimester, I have dropped down to 11st 12. I am hoping to maintain this, and seem to be doing. I'm eating fine, and doing a little walking each day. The midwives never seem to want to see you after your first pregnancy, so I have no idea whether they will be ok with this weight loss - what are your thoughts?

First of all, if you're ever concerned about anything that happens in your pregnancy, I would contact your midwives. If they're good, reputable practitioners, they'll be willing to talk to you or meet with you to address your concerns.
Weight loss in pregnancy - especially the first trimester - is not uncommon. For most women, this doesn't cause serious problems with the pregnancy, but when it becomes severe, it can cause some issues. You could have something called hyperemesis gravidarum - or HG. You can read about it here: http://www.hyperemesis.org/hyperemesis-gravidarum/
Some women do have complications arise from HG, but many go on to deliver healthy, full-term babies with no problems. I had it with my first, so it's a path I'm certainly familiar with. I would not hesitate to call your midwives if the weight loss concerns you.
Most importantly, how are you staying hydrated? You said you were not able to drink in the first trimester. Are you able to keep fluids down now? Many women who have issues with HG or dehydration require IV hydration to stay healthy. Dehydration during pregnancy can have some serious complications, so it's important that you let your midwives know if you're experiencing any signs of dehydration.

because you are consuming more fit then the load loss is clear. If you hold up at this fee then all you'll acquire is child and with a bit of luck would possibly not be too a lot more than your commencing out weight by way of the tip of all of it. A lot of ladies shed pounds throughout being pregnant, and I think if you are overweight you may also lose extra by way of consuming greater. I have not received any weight but and I'm in my eleventh week of being pregnant, however I should not acquire however approximately two-three kilos besides correct now. However, I am wasting weight as an alternative than gaining. I think plenty of that is because of being unwell and now not being ready to consume so much.
