Tell me about your successful learning experience?

I was 7 years old when I got this sweet nice custom bike for my birthday. I resented riding it w/ "training wheels" on, so I kept it unattended for weeks. My dad one evening warned if I didn't use the bike, he'd take it back to the store.

Frightened, I went outside, used dad's tools to remove the training wheels, hopped on and right from there, rode my bike w/out accident---truly a personal proud life's moment.

7 years later, I rode my custom 10 speed bike across state for a charity function---and unofficially broke a distance world record that got me honorable notice by the Guinness World Book people---and a shot at making the US Olympic team!!

Worse unsuccessful learning experience? Mastering prepositions in the 8th grade--HATED that part of English class. Amazingly, I managed to earn my minor in journalism w/out reciting ALL prepositions---and can't do it to this day!!
