R&P, have you ever got into a 'music fight' on Youtube...?

I got into a fight with someone who slated a video on YouTube. Now, I know it sounds bad, but then I watched his video, which was bad, so it was a little hypocritical of him to slate. It culminated with him saying "and you ripped my videos ugly ***** ROFL get a life ;)" so I just...ended up blocking him.

MA2: Oh God, that was with my best friend a year ago. We have polarising tastes and I slagged hers off one too many times. We had an argument and didn't speak for 4 months. I'd known her, what, 12 years at that point? We're friends again though.

haha yeah, i'm always telling people they're wrong. think of me as the guy who doesn't start the argument, but brings it to a climax by saying an unpopular view in a totally logical way which pisses people off.

MQ: Even tho we're talking R&P i hafta say the hip hop song Freedom of Speech by Immortal Technique cuz its directly related. a rock/metal song that could match is Hook in Mouth by Megadeth, a song criticizing the PMRC, the group that's responsible for the parental advisory sticker on albums

I try to avoid confrontations on Youtube. Not unlike R&P (but to a FAR greater degree), you get people completely unwilling to contemplate any opinion that differs from their own.

MA2: The continuous battle I have with a couple of my friends over music. They listen to mostly pop and hip-hop. They enclose themselves in a fantasy where any music they haven't heard on the radio a hundred times before is somehow suspect and cannot possibly be good. If I say that I like a band, they immediately say that they probably won't then. That's true to a degree - we have vastly different tastes - but pretty stupid of them to generalise all music as unknown and probably awful. It is enjoyable to argue with them as I know I'm right!

Oh yes, I have gotten in many to be honest lol. Usually it's over stupid stuff like once someone compared Opeth to Cannibal Corpse. One time though I actually got mad because some guy made a video talking about how 'Dimebag deserved to die' and all a bunch of crap like that.

As for the one you got into, even though I kind of disagree with you cause I like Silverstein (although that wasn't a good cover) you owned that guy! lol He screwed himself in the argument when he started talking crap about Fleetwood Mac.
