Is my video card messing up?
I had a 7600gt that had overheated and was artifacting on me and all. Since then I replaced the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and power supply. I have and GTS 250 now. Been working great for the last three months. Now my computer freezes whenever I play video such as from hulu.com or from my hd and have to reboot. Games play fine but sometime when I try to exit out system hangs and have to reboot. I thought it could be spyware or virus related, but nothing came up. I'm sure the last card overheated because fan was bad. Was making weird noised and stopped periodically. Can my new video card be crapping out on me already or should I reload windows again?

Try updating the drivers from the manufacturers site.
If you can, install the card in a friends computer and see if it works on there.
Also make sure that you have the latest version of Direct X.
My graphics card started becoming unstable during games and ended up not being able to play games at all. This soon deteriorated into windows crashing on the odd occasion and finally the pc being very reluctant to even boot up. That turned out to be a couple of capacitors in the power supply!
I wouldn't replace the most expensive component without first testing it in another computer. A reinstall of windows may fix the problem, but it's a lot of hassle when you really think about it, so try to leave it as a last resort (second to replacing the graphics card).

hi From the Tech: the way it is going is ATI will manufacture the hardware of a few factors ie the GPU and Diamond will placed it on their card and develop the appliance that runs it. Have a gr8 day, Nighthawk
