Quite often I find the servings very small so just make up the six and share the other 2 servings giving 1/2 each to each person.

Make the six servings and mail me 2. Then you'll have 4

Multiply each ingredient by 4/6, or 2/3

i'd probably opt for the 6 servings and either have leftovers or some folks would get extra potions. But.....take a look at your ingrediants and reduce them by 1/3 (2/6's). Example:

    6 chicken breasts = 4

    1 tsp thyme = 2/3 tsp thyme

    etc.

You make the recipe and just quarter it, instead of doing 6 servings. Or, just portion it out into 6 portions, and freeze 2.

You could do basic math like I do. If it calls for 2 cups of water and 3 cups of sugar, just divide by 6 to see how much one serving calls for. Then, just multiply it by four to get what you want.

You divide by 6 & multiply by 4; that makes it 2/3.

I use the recipe site allrecipes.com as it works out the ingredient quantities for you for each dish based on how many people you are cooking for. Have a look on there and see if the recipe you want to make is there.....otherwise you will need to do the maths. ;-)

    you have 6

    but you need 4

    let us see

    how about dividing each by - - - 2

now you have 3 but you only need 2

    hm mm

    wow difficult

you only need 2 of the 3

    could that be

    1/3 cups each

    weird

go back that would 4 times or ½ and ½ or 6 twelfths

and 6 / 12 would be 3 servings to four people

    you see that magic

    ☺ ☺

    heII I have no idea
