Wrist pain. Any ideas?

In before you children saying "lol stop masturbating lololol", that's not it.

Let me elaborate.

I have pain in my wrist occasionally, it started out as a numb pain but it's grown into more of a constant nagging...

Now when I move it, it kinda... grinds and stuff. I think it could be something to do with the wearing down of the cartilage or sometime... General RSI from too much computer. I asked my doctor at least twice, but he's not said anything.

I can make my wrist click numerous times from moving my thumb back a little, and it's just grinding and grating away. A wrist support helps, but obviously isn't a permenant solution. Any ideas, guys?

Update:

I don't think you read the question, Robin B. I have a wrist support. (Not that there's a walmart anywhere around here; this is England.)

Also, Carpal Tunnel has the added effect of loss of feeling in the hand/fingers, a symptom I am not experiencing.

    Don't you just hate it when you pay a doctor for an answer and you waste your money...

    Anyway, my wrist use to do the same thing except for the thumb part. I stopped using the computer as much and put something cold on my wrist for awhile to ease it. I'd suggest something from the Freezer. I'd nag your doctor on the phone, so you don't have to pay, and get some results just in case. Otherwise, I don't think it's too serious. It probably needs a break from working so much. This isn't a very professional oppinion, Hell I'm 16 years old, but it's better than the guy above me. o_<; Keep the wrist support on and take it off sometimes to put something cold on it for awhile, and use the computer less. Or at least type less. Hope this helps, I know your pain. x.x;

    Do you by any chance type as part of your day job? Could be carpel tunnel. My wrists and fingers hurt sometimes and the pain can be bad and it does radiate sometimes. I've been typing since my freshman year in high school which would be about 13 years so I know that I have it, I just haven't been "officially" diagnosed with it.
