Where are you from? It makes a BIG difference. Immigration is very difficult and takes years. You must have a very valuable job skill and find an employer to sponsor you, or you must have an immediate family member to sponsor you. Otherwise you have to apply through the diversity lottery program. This gives you a very slim chance, takes years. Some countries are not eligible for the diversity lottery program, like Canada and the U.K. See 1st site below. See 2nd site for other immigration info.
