i have a mac with ichat but also have a windows computer with a built in web cam. is there anyway a mac and windows can chat together??

iChat supports AIM, and I think that's all it has to be compatible with a Windows user.
Try Skype. Works on both platforms. Same program, better compatibility.

nope i doubt they ever will if apple began making their products living house windows properly matched human beings wouldnt purchase macs anymore they might in basic terms shop their pc's and purchase the appliance and safari is better than IE maximum browsers are better than IE

You could also get a skype account, which hosts "phone calls" as well as webchats.
