Would these computer parts "work"? (I Give Best Answer)?

I want to learn the most about computer by building one. But I don't know the Ins and Outs so I thought I would find some parts that sort of "Sound" like they would work. Anyone mind telling me if these would work?

Case: (Come's with 650W PSU)

http://www.frys.com/product/5279807?site=sr:SEARCH...

Motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

Processor:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

RAM:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

Am I missing anything? I know about the Mouse and Keyboard and Monitor, that would work, if the system would even start.

Update:

Yah I know about the OS and Video Card, im playing all the games I want on my Intergrated Graphics with my Outdated PC.

    1) That's Triple Channel RAM, meaning 3 pairs of sticks, so you'll only be able to use 4GB's

    2) That motherboard has high defect rates, I wouldn't suggest it.

    3) Motherboard doesn't have integrated graphics

    4) You're missing a graphics card

    5) Processor is overpriced, go for a E8400, Q8200 or Q6600.

If your budget is around 600$, this is the build I suggest:

$600US Single card Phenom II build

    CPU[115]: AMD Phenom II X2 550 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

    MOBO[80]: GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

    VIDCARD[147]: XFX HD4870 1GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

    RAM[60]: PNY Optima 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 1333 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

    PSU[60]: OCZ ModXStream 500W Modular http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

    CASE[80]: COOLER MASTER RC-690 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

    HDD[58]: Western Digital Caviar Green 500GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

With that build you can easily unlock 2 extra cores on that processor. All you have to do is flash the bios to version f2c, set the EC setting to Hybrid and the ACC setting to Auto.

This is not necessary, but will simply add 2 cores to your CPU for free.

Most importantly, the motherboard, CPU and RAM will all work very well together; the socket is AM3 on the motherboard and CPU, and the RAM is DDR3 which the motherboard supports. Everything else will work very well, but one suggestion is to buy the AMD Phenom ii X4 965 Black Edition, as opposed to the 955 model. I had to make the same decision between those two processors when building my computer, and I chose the 965. If you are spending a large amount of money overall, then around £15-£20 will not make much of a difference. The 955 runs at 3.2GHz, and the 965 at 3.4GHz, so I felt it was worth the extra money for better overall performance. The computer I built has very similar parts to yours, but I felt I might need a bit more than a 550w power suppy, so I bought a 650w one at a few pounds extra. I would also find a hard drive with a SATA connection instead of IDE, as it is much faster. As for the case, it is a full ATX tower case, which will fit everything inside it nicely.

That motherboard does not have integrated graphics, so you HAVE to get a video card, no option, if you don't you have no video, hence noting on the monitor. Either get a video card or change to a motherboard that has integrated video. Also, you need a hard drive, that is not optional either, it will not run without one.

You probably will want a DVD drive as well, you will have a hard time installing anything without one. Aside from that, everything else is a matter of taste, though I must say that processor is overpriced for what you are getting. You can get a Core i7 920 for less, and it is a better processor. You will need to change to a socket 1366 motherboard to do that.

you may have an issue with the back panel of the motherboard and the opening in the back of the case.

the motherboard uses a non-standard layout on all the plugs and stuff back there. it does come with a replacement panel, but you have to be sure it will fit in the case. Some of the panels and cases make for a sloppy fit, you end up with a rattle or buzz once you have all the fans and hard drives installed.

so long as it fits tight, you should be alright.

in addition to your list i would recommend getting a videocard, as this board has nothing on board

as for ram - the OCZ ddr3 1800 was specifically matched to this chipset so i would go with that for optimal speed. if not, the ram must be dual channel and epp 2.0 for auto detection by the board.

    Good luck!

Graphics card. Hard drive. Operating system. At least one optical drive.

Edit: I don't know why people think building a computer will help them understand. Start from the basics: browse tech forums for topics on the components you chose and want. Then browse parts that you don't want, and understand why it is slower, costs less, and/or performs worse.

Then you should proceed to build a computer, knowing what to buy because it offers the best price/performance ratio for you. No need to get the best parts, because technology will always beat you.

I'm not directing this at you. I just see too many of these kind of questions.

ok you obliviously need a hard drive, cd drive, video card or graphics card, sound card, cooling fan, some LED lights to Jazz it up.

Wait if you want to build one like that i would redirect you to ibuypower.com it is SUPER easy to use also if you stay resonable you can get a good computer. With a pretty good hard drive that is 1.5 TB

i suggest calling a computer teacher who has put together a system

and hire him for 1/2 hour to guide you.
