What is wrong with my tail lights?

I have a 1990 Mazda pick-up. The tail lights work but I have no brake lights or turn signals. The fuses are okay.

The first thing to check will be the light bulbs. They contain dual filaments; the brake filaments could be shot without affecting the tail lights. If they're ok, then you probably have a problem with the turn signal switch.

    p.s. Also check your fuses.

More than likely the turn signal switch. It has to switch the signal to the lights from the turn signal flasher, to the brake light switch. When it gets corroded, neither get through.

Could also be that both of you bright filaments are burned out (bulbs have 2 filaments, one for brake/turn and another for running lights).
