NOT Spiritually speaking, why do people still not understand that you are allowed to ask any question in any?
category? And that Yahoo only 'Suggests' that you ask questions in an appropriate category to get the most, and best responses?
A Do-It-Yourself question in Religion & Spirituality is Not a violation of TOS or CG.
Remember folks - you have "God-Given-Freewill" to choose to Not click on or answer a question that does not appeal to you.
Can we all put an end to the frivolous reporting?

From Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines:
Categorize your question correctly. Placing your question in the right category ensures that it is seen by people who can give you better information and more accurate answers. Yahoo! Answers is available in many countries and languages, so find the right one for your location or language.
From Yahoo! Help:
Sometimes it’s hard to find the perfect category for your question. We know that mistakes sometimes happen and miscategorization of a question is not automatically considered a violation.
*****However, repeatedly posting questions in the wrong category could result in a violation of the Community Guidelines.*****
This shouldn't suggest to you that I report stuff which has been improperly categorized. In fact, I rarely report anything... ever. I'm just saying... well... it is against the CG.

I'm sure the time is coming when we will no longer have a choice. Our questions will automatically placed the the appropriate category, whether we ask them spiritually or not
I once had a dental question, and foolishly asked it in the dental category. Not one answer. I re-asked it here, and within minutes had the correct answer. I don't even bother with other categories anymore, I can find knowledgeable people here, who are willing to help.

Exactly, Prometheus. Sometimes people want answers from people they're familiar with, as those people's opinions mean the most to them. Other times a question that seems to "belong" in a certain category can trigger responses from a different angle that it would if placed in the "proper" category.
Great question!

Just to be on the safe side you could always direct your question to a particular religious group. It won't limit the responses from those outside that group, but it will validate the question as belonging to R&S.
But yes, I agree with you, and with most of the respondents here.

I agree. I sometimes think it's funny when the question so obviously belongs in another category, but that's just my obsessive/compulsive self. I might make a joke about it, but I wouldn't report it!

No, because some people are just the miserable type. They sit there on their computer and click the report abuse button over and over because it gives them pure happiness. I've had so many violations in the last three days, I stopped checking my email.

just tell the fundies that "god" told you to put it in R&S.
that will shut them up.
and as for an end to the frivolous reporting? we can hope, but like the old adage goes "hope for the best on others, but lock your doors."
that applies here too - "once the VNs start piling up, believe in the power of the BLOCK function"

I wholeheartedly agree (considering I like the opinions of R&S regs on most all issues and can't get that kind of human touch in other categories).

I never frivolous report! It's lame and I totally agree with you -- that's why I've blocked 200 over-the top religious people! : )
