I want to raise the roof of my house. How do I do this?
I have a 2 story house with slanted ceilings on the second floor. I would like to know what to do in order to even the ceiling so that I can make these rooms full. I am not even sure of what questions to ask. I am planning to make one of these rooms into a nursery. Is my best option to raise the whole thing, or just to bevel it enough to even the rooms? Please help.

This is going to be a very expensive venture. You're basically removing the roof, building up the height of the walls, and either replacing the existing roof or building a new one. I would contact a general contractor for an estimate, and get their opinion on what would be best and most cost effective. Basic ballpark estimates should be free. And, at least you'll know what you're up against.
