Would you buy a new car NOW?

i was just about to buy a new car, after never owning a new car, but with the CARS bill,. I thought, Why not? but my car thats 14 years old chrysler w/120k doesnt qualify do to 19 MPG they list and to qualify I need 18,. Oh well,. 1 MPG made the diff,. new or used,. Would you buy a new car RIGHT NOW?

Update:

That wasnt entirely my question,.I stood to get 3500 for my car, prompting me to consider to buy new,. but 1 mpg forces me to buy used,..but if you could afford it and felt confident you may have your job for the length of the loan. in this economy, not being able to take advantage of CARS bill,. if YOU COULD AFFORD TO,. would you buy a new car,?

If i had the money.. YES.

Simply, it's a buyers market, and you can tell that the dealers are hurting for car sales right now, especially GM and Chrysler, which means you can get spectacular deals (not to mention that RIGHT NOW is when most dealers tend to get rid of the 09 models for the '10 models in the fall).
