Please Help! Computer virus preventing me from opening programs?
Somehow my computer became infected with an unknown virus. It is preventing me from running any programs including my current anti virus (spybot) or installing anything (like malwarebytes). How can I remove this nasty bug? The dialog boxes I am getting are for the scam program "spyware system pro alert" and for "pygvcj.exe"
Thanks for the help!
note: I am not sure I can access safe mode because I am not an administrator on the computer

You've likely gotten a Virtumundo infection.
In windows XP Home, there is no "Administor" account except in safe mode, and this account by default has no password.
However, if you cannot install malwarebytes, your last ditch effort might be reading this website:

However, the best bet is to competely format the system. I've seen several systems that were unable to be fixed and HAD to be formatted.

what you need to do is restart your computer, and as its turning on, press the f8 button to go into safe mode, but go into safe mode with networking so you can go online and download malware bytes. After you're done downloading malware bytes, run it and it should fix the virus. Then just reboot your computer and its all good!

I think you should wait for the administrator of the computer before you solve the problem. Because it'll be bad if you make the problem worst.
