port forwarding problems with torrents and p2p clients?
I'm trying to use Azureus and Soulseek but when I test the various ports that I want to use, I get error messages, saying the port is closed/ can't be communicated with.
Before I got my new router I was never even aware of the existence of ports. P2P and torrents clients worked just fine. Do I need to set something up on the router page?
I feel as if I'm leaving out some vital details.... thanks

type "192.168.1.1" in URL [hope u r using bsnl plan]or type default gateway address of ur modem
type username&password as admin&admin[bsnl].
then goto "wan" in advanced .u can see one pppoe connection & many bridge connections, select next from there and change pppoe connection to bridge connection.now click on save/reboot button.now modem will restart.after this u must manually connect to internet by typing username &password given by ur ISP.
After this port fording will be ok..Try..good luck.
