Info about Janome 3434D Serger?

Hi there, I have been wanting a serger for a long time. I've got my eyes set on a Janome 3434D. I wondered if anyone has any personal experience or knowledge about this machine before I make the leap.

I'm also interested in any comparisons that can be offered between this model and the Mylock 134D, as this model just became available in my area as well.

    I have an old White serger. I have had it for 15 years and love it.

    I know Janome is a good brand. I have a four thread serger and do not recommend a 5 thread. 4 will do everything you need it to. I just made curtains for my patio door yesterday with my serger-so fast.. you will love it

    make sure to demo any serger before you buy it. and if you have never used a serger I highly recommend getting it from a sewing machine dealer where you will get free lessons on how to use the machine. I would sign up for a beginner serger class too.
