Where can I buy some bright red fake cherries?
I am looking for some cute little fake cherries to use. The cuter and more cartoony, the better. Any ideas on where to look? Not much luck with an internet search.
1 AnswerOther - Home & Garden1 decade agoInfo about Janome 3434D Serger?
Hi there, I have been wanting a serger for a long time. I've got my eyes set on a Janome 3434D. I wondered if anyone has any personal experience or knowledge about this machine before I make the leap.
Thanks.
2 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoHow can you ask a question to or contact Facebook?
I have one fan page, but when I created it, it created multiple times. I tried to delete the other ones, but they still show up in my Insights. Also, if I try to add an application to my page it shows three entries all named the same as my fan page. When I click them on the insights page, they just take me the one valid page. I need help getting rid of these because I am super confused trying to add stuff to the page.
3 AnswersFacebook1 decade agoHow do you remove rust from a Shower Caddy?
We just got a new house and bought a shower caddy for our shower stall. We had it a couple of weeks and then the entire thing was covered in rust. I have tried everything to get the rush off the little mesh shelves, but no such luck. Any suggestions? I just tried another application of Lime Away for 15 to 20 minutes, scrubbed with a tooth brush, rinsed, resprayed, rubbed off with a towel... I see some of it coming off, the the thing just looks terrible...
Help!
6 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoMy betta has had a degree of fin rot - Can I use LifeGuard if I used Maracyn for the last couple of days?
My betta has had a degree of fin rot for several weeks. I've been treating with Maracyn and though for several days lately I noticed no change at all (which was an improvement from it getting worse).. I have now noticed some fin rot on his top fin and an area of his back fin turning that reddish-brown color again... like we are about to start all over again. I did a water change on Sunday and have used Maracyn that morning and this morning. I bought some LifeGuard to try tonight and I was just wondering if it would be okay to put it in, or if I need to change out the water first in case the two medications could react?
What do you think? Help asap would be great.
5 AnswersFish1 decade agoHow do I repair a broken ceramic tea pot lid?
We received a hand made tea set while overseas visiting family and the lid just fell out of the cabinet and broke in two clean pieces. How can I repair the lid? I've got some super glue gel, but I'm guessing that is toxic and wouldn't be the best hold up against heat and moisture. What can I do to fix this irreplaceable piece? Please also let me know where I can buy the product you are suggesting. Thank you.
PS Throwing the piece away is NOT an option. It is one of a kind and means too much to be discarded.
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoBeta with Fin Rot, Switching Tactics and Need Advice ASAP?
Hey kids, I posted on here about two weeks ago because my Beta had fin rot. The levels in his 6.6 gallon tank are fine, I've been monitoring them closely. I was told to try Beta Fix, which I have been using and it seemed to get better for like a day, and then only worse and worse. I got some Maracyn to try tonight. This morning was the last time I put betafix in. Do I need to empty out all the water and clean out the tank before I use the Maracyn? I wasn't sure if the two would play well together, or how much betafix would even still be in the water. I've been adding it daily like an idiot. What a terrible idea. Anyways, what would you do when you are switching from some kind of non-medication crapola to actual medication. I'm afraid he's going to die if I don't do something SOON.
Thanks
2 AnswersFish1 decade agoBeta "Tail" Seems Shorter and More Jagged?
Hi All,
I'm a new beta owner, I've had my fish for about a month and a half. Here he is:
http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y261/tbirdie/Pets...
He lives in a 10 gal bookshelf tank that is about the length of a 20 gallon. He lives alone and I have a sponge filter. I've got a carbon cartidge for it but never put it in because people kept saying not too. The filter is turned down pretty low so that there isn't much of a water current. I don't think it is turned up much higher than it used to be before we moved.
About two weeks ago we moved and I had to transport him to the new house. That was his last water change. I just noticed yesterday (things have been a little crazy) that his "tail" seems shorter by atleast 40% and more jagged now. He is still active, still eating, and still moving around. I'd take a picture, but I can't find the cord to my camera... it is in one of these hundreds of boxes.
Any suggestions?
4 AnswersFish1 decade agoThe age old question: DirecTV or Time Warner Digital Cable?
We are moving into a new house and trying to figure out which way to go with this... right now our apartment pays for our TV service and we are using DSL which we are getting pretty tired of. I would love FIOS but it still too expensive for us right now.
So which way to go as far as TV service?
Time Warner Cable or DirecTV
We don't have an HDTV but plan to get one within the next year or so, so we will probably be doing the HD DVR with whichever we get.
Thanks
8 AnswersOther - Television1 decade agoWhat do you do if you are buying a house and find out information that was provided on the MLS sheet is false?
Hi there,
I am in the process of buying a house. I just found out that information the seller provided on the MLS sheet is false. They had some installations/updates done and "advertised" that they were done in 2007, and now are saying "Oh no, they were done in 2000." Alot of my decisions were based upon these dates. We are out of the option period. Is there anything that can be done? (Besides walking away and losing our earnest money).
7 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoSeller wants to stay past closing date... how much to charge?
I know it is mainly an individual's choice on how much to charge if the person you are buying a house from puts in a request to remain in the house a few days longer. I would just like to hear everyone's thoughts on the subject. Honestly, she has been everything but cooperative or helpful throughout the entire process, so I'm quite disinclined to aquest her request without some kind of substantial financial reimbursement.
Hit me with your best thought!
11 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoDoes ynick28 like spray cheese?
It seems that ynick28 is really concerned about what kinds of animals like spray cheese.... is this because he loves it or because he hates it so much he can't imagine any creature on earth liking it?
3 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoAnother Betta Question, looking for tank buddies?
Hi kids. I just got a betta on Sunday, and a bookshelf aquarium that is 6.6 Gallons. I really like the tank, it is like the same dimensions as a 20 gallon, long, skinney, but just a little smaller. Anyways, I was thinking about eventually getting a couple more... whatevers... to add to the tank. I will also be adding more plants, right now I don't have many. Any suggestions as to what goes well with Bettas? If you want to give me hardly low light plant suggestions, I'll take those too. I am waiting a little bit before I add plants or new creatures because I am just putting him in his new tank tonight. Thanks so much!
PS I do have a filter on the tank, and it is a big one. The current is adjustable and perfect for the betta. I am using decorative rocks for the "ground cover." I do not have a heater as I am in Texas and don't need one right now. I might get one if the temperatures indicate I need to during the winter.
6 AnswersFish1 decade agoInspection Reveals Termites (Texas)?
Hi all, I recently posted about a house we are in the process of buying. We just had the inspection today and the pest inspector found evidence of previous termite presence in the bath trap. The bath was replaced within the last year. There were no active termites there, nor was there any damage. The seller's didn't say anything about termites on their disclosure, so there is a good chance that the area had not been treated. There is no evidence of treatment. I am, of course, quite concerned. This house is in the Coppell area, and I'm hoping someone can give me some feedback. To me, termites seem like a big deal. The inspector didn't seem to concerned about it though. He said he saw nothing else on his inspection and no damage at all. He said it was a common area to get termites because of a gap between the foundation that goes down to the soil under bath traps. He suggested having a spot treatment done of the bath trap.
3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoInterest Rate and Loan Specifications on Housing Purchase Agreement?
Hi there, another question from me!
When we signed our purchase agreement the first page had a place to put in information for who we thought we would get our loan with and how much etc... It also asks for the interest rate and actually says "With an interest rate not to exceed ____" Well, the rate we are getting quoted now and the rate we were quoted back then vary greatly as rates have since gone up. Does it matter that on this contract it says we will have a rate of X amount when the rates have gone up? How can anyone really say what the rate is going to be for sure on a 30 yr fixed loan before they actually have a purchase agreement?
1 AnswerRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoHow does a backup offer effect the existing buyer seller relationship?
Hi kids. I'm writing because I put in an offer on a house and it was accepted. We signed the papers and now are in the option period. We are going out to do inspections tomorrow, when I get an email from my agent stating that the seller's agent has informed her that they have accepted a back up offer. Of course, this makes me nervous... because it doesn't take much! ha! So I am just wondering what this means for us. I know the seller can't take the offer unless ours falls through, but how can this potentially effect the negotations for repairs and whatnot that we are about to go through during the option period? Is this a sign of agression on the seller's part, or can you not blame them for covering their bases? Just looking to be more informed. Thanks.
3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoDoes Almond Bark go bad?
I still have a bunch of it, but it is probably almost a year old. I can't remember when I bought it (probably a bad sign) but I also can't find an expiration date on them.
