How do you remove rust from a Shower Caddy?
We just got a new house and bought a shower caddy for our shower stall. We had it a couple of weeks and then the entire thing was covered in rust. I have tried everything to get the rush off the little mesh shelves, but no such luck. Any suggestions? I just tried another application of Lime Away for 15 to 20 minutes, scrubbed with a tooth brush, rinsed, resprayed, rubbed off with a towel... I see some of it coming off, the the thing just looks terrible...

my chrome shower caddy started to do that in some places and what i did was get one of those green scouring pads and gently and i mean GENTLY get the rust off. Just make sure not to remove the chrome itself. and Once i got it off i dried the areas that were affected with rust and used clear nail polish on the newly cleaned areas. (lol) Ever since i did that the nail polish worked as a nice barrier and it hasnt returned.

sounds like you have hard water in your area. I suggest to buy a new one. It rusted because the water penetrated through the coating.

Take it back to the store where you bought it and demand your money back. If this is chome then it should last a long time, but if it is made in China you got about what you paid for.
