Dead celebrities fancy dress party?

Question

I'm going to a fancy dress party next weekend and the 'theme' is dead celebrities and I've got no ideas at all what / who to go as!  Either an actor / musician or maybe a character that died in a movie?  Please help!   

Oh, and not Michael Jackson or Marilyn Monroe :-)

Janis Joplin, Because she died of overindulgence.  That way you have an excuse to be belligerent and make decisions that normally have consequences but not that night because you'll have an excuse.  Also, not saying that you would, but if you wanted, you could make out with chicks because Janis was a lesbian.
