Little Bo Peep

I've bought a Dell netbook (it is being delivered this week) which comes with Windows 7 Starter. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth upgrading to Windows 7 Home Premium (I can get this for £56.38 with free delivery from Amazon).

I will be using the netbook for using the internet and emails , using Microsoft Office (mostly Word and Excel - I am an Open University student), and watching DVDs and listening to CDs of audio material for my OU course while commuting to work on the bus as I have a 1hr 15minute journey each way (I have read some information online that suggests that this might be a problem with Windows 7 starter?).

I'm not sure if it's worth the money to upgrade - I would be grateful for some advice! Obviously I don't want to spend £57 if I don't need to :-)

Oh, and I have also read that I can't change my desktop background on Windows 7 Starter either - rubbish..... :-(

Is a friend or relative able to take my divorce petition to the court to file on my behalf? My work hours mean that it is going to be really difficult for me to get to the court during their opening hours, and I really want to file the petition as soon as possible.

Every time I restart my laptop the screen resolution resets to 640 x 480 pixels and colors resets to lowest (4 bit). When I go in to try to change this to 32 bit and 1440 x 900, I click on apply but it doesn't change anything on the screen, it asks if I want to keep the new settings and regardless of whether I click yes or no it just gos back to 640 x 480 and 4 bit. I'm running Windows Vista Home edition. I am also a bit technologically challenged so any help or advice to fix this in simple terms would be appreciated!

I've been separated from my husband for just over 2 years and I was planning on starting divorce proceedings in a couple of months time. He has now decided that he wants to file for divorce himself and he has asked me for my home address to serve the papers. I really don't want him to know where I am living now, can I ask for them to be served to me at my parents address? (he already knows their address and my parents are happy with this if it is OK). I've seen a beautiful perfume bottle that I want to buy which has a squeeze ball for the spray, but I don't just want to buy it for decoration, I want to be able to use it! I can't find anywhere where I can buy women's perfume that doesn't come with a spray top. Any ideas? I'm in the UK.

I've been running since the beginning of 2009 and have been following a marathon training schedule, however I haven't been able to train at all for the past 6 weeks as I have had a minor operation (which I wasn't expecting to have until July this year but was unexpectedly brought forward) and was advised not to do any exercise for 6 weeks afterwards. I have also put on around 1 stone in these 6 weeks due to not exercising and, to be completely honest, comfort eating when feeling sorry for myself :-( I am not aiming for a finish time, I just want to complete the 26.2 miles and I am hoping for some advice on how to make the most of the next 7 weeks training time - I have the next two weeks booked off from work so for those 2 weeks I can do as much as necessary whenever necessary, for the remaining 5 weeks I'll be limited to evenings and weekends only. Any help and advice would be gratefully received!

It's a charity Christmas race and I need to dress up as something Christmassy themed, it needs to be something not too restrictive, not too heavy and I need to be able to wear a sports bra underneath (and possibly some running tights!). Can you help me come up with some ideas please lovely answerers? xx

My kitten is 4 and a half months old. I moved house 6 weeks ago and she seemed to settle in really well, and she started using her litter tray without any problems at all. About 2 weeks ago, I came home from work and she had weed just inside my front door (about 3 feet away from where the litter tray is). The floor is tiled. She had also gone in the litter tray as well (I had cleaned it that morning). I cleaned it up and mopped the floor and everything was fine until a couple of days later, when I woke up in the morning and she had gone in the same place in the middle of the night (again, the litter tray was clean before I went to bed). This time I used bleach to clean the floor, and again it was fine for a couple of days. Then one morning she did it while I was in the shower. I bought a bottle of spray from my local pet shop last weekend which is supposed to neutralise the odour, I sprayed it on the floor and left it to dry as instructed and she has not weed on the floor since then, up until tonight. I got home from work and she hadn't been on the floor, I went to cook my tea, took it in my lounge to eat it and when I went to take my plate to the kitchen and I caught her doing it again. I picked her up and tapped her nose, told her 'No' and took her straight to the litter tray, then cleaned and sprayed the floor again. Then about half an hour ago she came into the lounge, started sniffing around and then crouched down ready to wee on the carpet (she has never weed in the lounge before). I shouted 'No' and she ran straight to the litter tray and finished weeing in there. She has never done a poo anywhere other that the litter tray. I am at my wits end and I don't know what else to try, does anyone have any suggestions?

..... and I have made an appointment for her to be spayed and micro-chipped in the middle of February. She is showing a lot of interest in going outside (I have had a cat flap fitted for her but it is locked at the moment - and she spends a lot of time looking out through it!). How long should I keep her in after she has been spayed, or is it something that I should judge myself by how well and active she is in the days following the operation? She is my first kitten and I want to make sure that she isn't going to go out until it is definitely OK :-) xx
