you could have some food stuck in the drain, or a small dish fell down, or there is something blocking the drain and/or pipe. just pull the bottom drawer out and examine the drain. if you cant find the problem, call your local mechanic/dishwasher repairman. hope it works out for you :D

We bought a house that had a older cheap Frigidaire dishwasher that wouldn't pump out all the water from the bottom. It turned out to be the pump was going bad. On that model is wasn't worth the price to have it fixed, so we replaced it.

may well be a pair of issues. i might verify your drain line hook up. If its hooked to the realm of rubbish disposal pull the line off and make certain the plastic has not melted / collapsed. If its not attached there verify the "T" setting up for blockage and or percentpipe for restrict. If its not draining from there i've got faith the dishwasher pump motor might have long gone out or is vulnerable. In the two case the motor is undesirable. it incredibly is replaceable.

more than likely it is the pump/motor, but your drain line could be clogged. without a model or brand its hard to diagnose.
