How do I convince my dad to get me a SPORTS bike opposed to something else?
I'm from the states but study in europe where i could really use a bike. i have some experience riding, i just dont have a bike of my own over here. my dad is buying me a bike this month but refuses to get me a sports bike (even the ninja 250r or aprilia 125rs!!).
i'm an aggressive driver and he's doesn't want me going fast or on the highway. (i'm a female, early 20s)
he would rather get me a 600cc scooter or motocross than a 250 sports bike!
any ideas how to convince him or any ideas of some sort of naked bike maybe where i can trick him into thinking its "safer"???
p.s. bikes are safer than scooters anyway!! haha
thanks!! :)

One way is to get a Super Moto bike like the Suzuki DRZ 400 SM. A cool bike that is fast enough go anywhere you'll need to go.

Anothher choice is the Kawasaki KLX 250SF

Since you are in Europe, there is a wider choice of SuperMoto bikes from 50cc to 900cc.
BTW any bike including scooters, 250cc or larger, are pretty much legal to ride on the freeway/expressway.

You ought to be grateful if he wants to buy you a dual sport bike. You can learn more about bike control in an afternoon off-road than in a month on the highway. As long as he's buying, humor him, learn all you can about riding, and when you can afford your own, you will be hell on wheels on the bike of your choice.
