why do non-muslims talk bad about muslims and islam?

non-muslims talk bad about islam sometimes because of misconceptions and mostly they talk like this because they like to do so!

as i have read in the above answers, many people have used bad language and at the same time they say that the muslims do so! which is surely not fair. the blasphemous acts have been done by non-muslims , not by muslims.

it is very shameful on everyone's part who has written ill ,even not knowing what islam really teaches.

it not allowed in islam to disregard anyone's feelings and religion...but the way you people have answered,it seems like Christianity allows all such things...!

secondly, many of you said that muslims kill others, let me tell you in islam, the killing of one person amounts to the killing of whole humanity!and who does will not be forgiven.

all of you just see what some muslims have done, why don't you see what is being done to muslims...

in palestine, jews are killing muslims.. in afghanistan and iraq western countries' armies are killing muslims , in kashmir, hindus are killing Muslims! but no human rights' supporters raise their voice for them. just think when you'll be pushed towards the wall and their be no way open for you what would you do....

so now stop blaming muslims and spend some time understanding the real teachings of islam!

First of all it is not true that Muslims don't talk rubbish about non Muslims.

I had Muslims telling me that I am going to go to hell for being a Christian kaffir (infidel). Not a very nice thing to say is it?

This brings your whole argument down.

Look at the end of the day, I was subjected to daily conversion sermons from Muslims and an appalling attitude towards me and my husband. However, I didn't insult them just stayed well away from them.

My husband at work he was offered Islamic holy water from Pakistan. He politely declined. What if he was to offer the Muslims he works with Christian holy water?

People would not even shake my hand because I am a Christian woman. In my religion we embrace and kiss everyone as a sign of brotherhood and sisterhood. I would do the same with non Christians as the Bible says they are our lost brothers and sisters.

I would not make them feel offended.

It is because people do not understand Islam and some are threatened by it. Muslims speak no ill toward other monotheistic religions because Judaism and Christianity serve as a base for Islam. Islam originated around 600 AD, and God (Allah is same, simply a different language.) told Muhammad that the final revelation was coming should the world not improve. The Qu'Ran is just a later form of the Bible.

This is why Muslims acknowledge Christ's presence (however not His divinity), but no cristian truly acknowledge Muhammad.

Well you're wrong about muslims not talking bad about other religions. They do it all the time. I know. I was a missionary in Germany and spoke with a lot of Turken Muslims. And whether you want to admit it or not, some Muslims did fly a couple commercial jets into some buildings killing about 3,000 innocent people in the name of Islam.

Many, but not all, non-Muslims speak badly about Islam because of the egregious actions being committed by an extremely small minority of extremist Muslims. It is an incorrect generalization, yet it continues.

acts 4:12 there is salvation in no one else;for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.

just 1 verse from the holy scriptures blows your religion out of the realm of reality,and there are many more that will do the same.

Because Muslims stone people to death, commit honor killings, degrade women, behead others, blow up others, murder in the name of their religion, cut off hands,..............etc. And it is not at all true that they dont talk rubbish about other religions. They not only downtalk other religions, they downtalk other cultures. And they never are truthful about the atrocities done in the name of Allah by the extremists. After they have committed an atrocity, they say they are a peaceful religion.
