I keep getting a message that I am running out of Virtual Memory?

How do I fix that?

Thanks.

    Hi,

You should increase the pagefile size.

To do that in windows XP : Right click My Computer - Properties - Scroll to Advanced tab - Under "performance" click settings - Advanced - Change.

Now set it on manual, and set the first number to 1.5*RAM and the second to 2*RAM (for example if you have 1024MB of ram, i recommend setting the pagefile to 1536MB-2048MB).

    Regards.

You'll need to increase the amount of actual memory, to start. Secondly, under the heading "Control Panel" click on system, then advance. Click "Settings" under "Performance", then click "Advanced" again. Go to the bottom of the box, there should be a control to increase the amount of hard drive space needed for the virtual memory. Realise, virtual memory is not actual memory, but a place on the hard drive where the processor stores intermediate answers. If the hard drive is too small, or the amount of space set aside for virtual memory too small, the computer will run slower, and have more freezes.

    Hope this helps...

You are maxing out your RAM as well as your virtual memory bank, so instead of messing with the page-file system, which Vista does automatically, you'd be better off adding RAM. If you have XP, read this:

right click my computer and go to properties

    click advance tab

    click settings under performance

    click advance

you can now change the virtual memory size to desired value

You will want to uninstall the programs that you consider not important and which need a lot of memory. If yor computer can be upgraded to higher level of memory - do this too,

Sorry if im getting the wrong idea, but is this computer memory? You simply need to have a desktop clean up, and also remove any un-used programmes stored in your computer :) Another thing is to check in your control pannel-add and remove programmes (For windows) Or for vista Programmes and Features. You can also retain alot of memory for removing programmes in there. =]

Your tense force is getting comprehensive, so it quite is time to bathe it up. ----- First, empty your recycle bin. it would have as much as 4 gigabytes of stuff in it. ----- 2d, erase the fast-term information out of your browser. indexed under are the instructions for cyber web Explorer (if that's what you're utilizing). on the menu bar on cyber web Explorer click procedures - cyber web concepts - Delete Then yet another window opens click Delete information ... after which sure (you could delete each thing in case you prefer in spite of the undeniable fact that it is not as much as in simple terms the information) ----- 0.33, you in simple terms would have countless video information and track information on your tense force. it quite is time to head a number of them off the tense force. you could burn a number of them to CDs or DVDs. I recommend an exterior tense force. some are very own laptop in simple terms (require AC potential), collectively as others are transportable and use in simple terms USB potential. Maxtor, Seagate, Iomega, Verbatim and others sell them at suited purchase, Wal-Mart, objective, place of work Max, place of work Depot, and so forth.
