Best answer, has anyone never had a best answer, if not why do they think they haven't?

I've gotten a few, but the majority of the time I honestly do try my best to give the best answer possible, and they usually end up really long, which naturally takes a bit of time. Usually my well-thought-out answers are not posted quickly enough and often end up on the third page or so of answers, which weakens my chance of other people seeing it and voting.

If someone doesn't have any Best Answers it usually means they either don't participate or just give answers laced with profanity.

But, once I answered a question with all of the details and the person that got Best Answer just said "lol". What the heck is that about?
