What did Harry Potter do with the Elder Wand after he defeated Voldemort?

Update:

Also! Did Harry Potter ever finish school at Hogwarts? Since he missed his last year. Who thought they should have had him in school still in the last book? Who was a little disappointed with the last book?

He put the Elder Wand back into Dumbledore's tomb, where Voldemort had stolen it from. This was proof that Harry really was grown-up He turned down the ultimate weapon because he knew that it was more trouble than it was worth.

It's never mentioned whether he did a 7th year at hogwarts, but the Conventional Wisdom is that by killing Voldemort, he was awarded with an Honorary Graduation. That makes sense to me.

Yes, I was disappointed with Deathly Hallows, too. I thought it was Rowling's weakest book of all. I also thought she should have had a list of her characters and wht eventually happened to them; as well as a list of the '50 or so' students who died at the Battle of Hogwarts.

    Book 7 felt really rushed.

He states that he would 'put it back where it came from', meaning Dumbledore's grave.

It never says that he finishes school, but I'm sure you can look it up on some forum somewhere. I don't think he did finish school, though, I vaguely remember reading somewhere that he went straight onto the Ministry of Magic and became an auror with Ron and Hermione.

I loved the way the last book turned out, when I first heard he wouldn't be at Hogwarts that year, I was so disappointed. I love the way it turned out though, if he was at Hogwarts he could never have done any of the stuff he needed to do.

I think after the Last Battle at Howarts with Voldemort, Harry buried the wand in the ground when no one was watching. Yes I agree that Harry should have his last year at Howarts. The book was okay, but it was to no extent the worse (#'s 1 and 4 are that). Wouldn't it have been also very exciting if J.K. Rowling made a book dedicated to the lives of the original founders (Gryffindor and them), Albus Dumbledore, and the Mauraders

He had it buried with Dumbledore.

We don't know for sure it he ever finished school, though he probably did because he would need top grades to become an Auror. Then again, defeating Voldemort may have been qualification enough. The only one we know for sure is that Hermione went back to Hogwarts.

Heck no! It would have been 100% stupidity to have him at Hogwarts, considering Voldemort took over the wizarding world. Harry would have been dead before he got to Hogwarts.

I was not disappointed at all.

put it back into dumbledore's grave.

I think Hermione went back, but Harry and Ron finished Auror training. I just can't see Harry willingly going to school again. I don't know, though. He might have, to get his NEWTs. I liked the last book, actually, but I wouldn't have as much if JKR didn't reveal some things not in the books (go to www.jkrowling.com and then click on the pink eraser, and then click on the doorknob to open it and there is a family tree. With draco and Luna too.)

He said he was going to return it to where it belongs, which is Dumbledore's tomb, where Voldemort took it from.

Harry and Ron both joined the Auror department directly after the war, but Hermione returned to Hogwarts to get her NEWTs, and joined the Ministry after that. This isn't stated in the books, but JK Rowling said it in an interview.

He repaired his own wand and returned it to Dumbledore's tombstone.

He never finished school, because when Kingsley Shacklebolt became minister, hepermitted that anyone who fought in the battle could become an Auror without N.E.W.T.S. So that's exactly what Harry and Ron did. Harry eventually became head Auror.

Harry fixed his wand with the Elder Wand and then he buried it with someone. Harry never finished Hogwarts. I think they should have had him in school, but I wasn't disappointed!

I believe he put it back in Dumbledore's tomb.

He almost died hiding out in the woods with lots of spells protecting him. There is no way he would have lasted five minutes if he showed up at Hogwarts. And only one of the horcruxes was there anyways.

I liked the last book, but the 19 years later part was a bit disappointing.

Harry put the wand back in dumbuldores grave after he fixed his phoneix wand. (sorry about the spelling)

Here are some videos that are gd they tell you what happened:
