Solve y' = 2(2x + y) / (2x - y), y(1) = 0, by using a substitution u = y/x?
Note: Expression doesn't have to be explicitly in y = f(x) form.

I've seen a few different photos of it and I absolutely adore it, but there is no source or anything! I want to buy one very very very very very badly, so if anyone has any idea of where I can buy it or something extremely similar (preferably online) I would much appreciate it!
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories10 years agosolve z^3 + 2z^2 + 3z + 2 = 0?
I attempted to factor this into:
z(z^2 + 3) + 2(z^2 + 2) = 0
but that didnt help because there were no common factors.
My next attempt was to multiply the polynomial P(z) by various linear factors like z - 1, 1 - z, and even quadratic z^2 - z to manipulate into more simply solvable form but that was to no avail. I then tried putting all of the z's into re^ix form but that was a last resort.
Ive seen the answer on wolfram as -1, 1/2(sqrt(7 +/- i) but i have no idea how to get that.
Anyone know how to do this?
2 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoCan someone please explain The Nest by Paul Jennings in detail?
I've now read the book twice and, although being an avid reader, I just cannot seem to understand this book at all! Can someone please explain what it's about in detail? Spoilers are fine.

1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoQuestion about conservative wiki site?
Ok I have just been looking at a site called conservapedia, which claims it is 'The Trustworthy Encyclopedia' and is built on estabilishing a free encyclopedia similar to wikipedia but without 'liberal bias'.
After losing a few brain cells whilst reading the very biased articles on topics such as bioligical evolution, I asked myself, does anyone seriously use this thing?
Honest question, I would appreciate honest answers.

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy is Jesus portrayed as Caucasian?
Jesus (if he existed) who hailed from Israel, was of Semitic origin and would have had a darker complexion similar to Semitic people from the area today. So why is he always white with blue eyes in pictures?
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoQuotient and Product rule confirmation?
Considering that a function
f(x) = g(x)/h(x)
can be thought of as:
f(x) = g(x) * 1/h(x)
Is it possible to treat a quotient of functions as just a product of functions as shown, and just differentiate from there? I have tried this and it works, but i just wanted to be sure.
Also, if this is a viable option (because i always forget the quotient rule formula) will it still work in all cases, such as when there is a restricted domain or it is a hybrid function?
Thanks your your help in advance.
5 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoName some books for someone who loves Hunger Games, The Uglies, The Host and Harry Potter?
I love anything with action, fantasy, sci-fi and romance. I'd love to find a new book that really draws me in and has heaps of action and romance. Are there any books that you found really amazing that are similar to the ones above?
Thanks :)
13 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoA question to Christians?
Why would a perfect God need to create anything?
If God created people, why does he need their love and worship when he is beyond perfection? Surely he can cope with someone rejecting him, he seems like a shallow douchebag.
It seems unreasonable for God to create a person then punish them for his own shortcomings.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoExponential formula (complex numbers)?
a^(x+b) + c = 0
Make x the subject.
I got log a (c) + (i*pi/ln(a)) - b = x
Is this correct?
2 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoIf God exists, why does Atheism even occur?
Just curious. From a religious (or perhaps what i am looking for is the Christian explanation) perspective, if God exists, how come so many people are Atheists? You think God would be working his *** off to convert those heathens. No offense intended, again just curious.

18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoReligion - Is it just an emotional buffer?
Does anyone out there truly believe in any sort of God because they looked at the evidence around them, and thought that the only way all the universe could have come about by some sort of creator?
Or was it because of one of these reasons:
1. You were born into a religious family and by default followed their teachings
2. You like the thought of a God who perhaps you think cares about you and answers your prayers (in the christian belief system anyway).
3. You know that believing in your God you know a happy afterlife in heaven awaits you, not to mention that lack of belief or scorn against your God means you will be sent to hell (In brief, belief = advantage of heaven, fear of hell).
